Mary-Anne Harrington is Publisher at Headline’s literary imprint Tinder Press, which publishes bestselling and critically acclaimed authors including Maggie O’Farrell, Sue Monk Kidd, Helen Walsh and Patrick Gale, to name a few.
She began her career with Headline Publishing, working her way up from editorial assistant to assistant editor, then commissioning editor. She helped to set up Tinder Press, which launched with Maggie O’Farrell’s Instructions for a Heatwave, three years ago. Maggie O’Farrell says: “My main reason for moving to Tinder Press was to stay with my editor, Mary-Anne Harrington. I’ve worked with her on every book and the idea of writing a book without her at the helm was unthinkable. So off to Tinder Press I went.”
