Our story

We met on a beach. Between us, we had decades of experience in publishing, developing online communities and teaching writing. But we were frustrated with writing education and felt there was little on offer for writers who were unable to travel to expensive workshops or give up a year to study for an MA or MFA.

We saw a different way of nurturing talent. Our vision was to create an accessible place online where writers could come to learn regardless of their background, level of experience and location. And where creative people could choose their own learning path, setting goals to suit their individual wants and needs.
