Jen Calleja

Jen Calleja is the author of Goblinhood: Goblin as a ModeVehicleI’m Afraid That’s All We’ve Got Time For, and the forthcoming Fair: The Life-Art of Translation.

Her short fiction has appeared in Best British Short StoriesThe London MagazineSomesuch Stories3:AM and Another Gaze. Jen has been shortlisted for the Short Fiction/University of Essex Prize and has been a judge for The London Magazine Short Story Prize and the Scratch Books Short Story Competition.

She is also the translator of twenty literary works from German, and was shortlisted for the Man Booker International Prize for her translation of Marion Poschmann’s The Pine Islands.

Jen is an associate lecturer in creative writing at Goldsmiths, and has delivered writing workshops for organisations including the Arvon Foundation and the British Library, as well as independently.
