Amy Arthur

Amy Arthur (she/her) is a disabled science journalist and nonfiction author based in Wales, UK.

Amy has been working as a journalist for the last five years, with bylines in New Scientist, Live Science, BBC Sky at Night, BBC Wildlife and Popular Science. She’s particularly passionate about telling health and disability stories with nuance, sensitivity and in collaboration with those who have lived experience.

She holds a BA in Publishing and Creative Writing from Bath Spa University. Her first nonfiction book, Pace Yourself, was published in December 2023. Her second is due out in 2025. She lives in a pink cottage in the south of Wales, with her husband and their Shetland sheepdog.
